Ao no Exorcist Anime Announced

According to the official website for Jump SQ, a TV anime adaptation for Kato Kazue’s action-fantasy manga series, Ao No Exorcist ,was announced and is in production.

More information should be revealed in the January issue of the magazine — on sale 12/4.

Summary: This world consists of two dimensions joined as one, like a mirror. The first is the world in which the humans live, Assiah. The other is the world of demons, Gehenna. Ordinarily, travel between the two, and indeed any kind of contact between the two, is impossible. However the demons can pass over into this world by possessing anything that exist within it. Satan the god of demons, but there’s one thing that he doesn’t have, and that’s a substance in the human world that is powerful enough to contain him!! For that purpose he created Rin, his son from a human woman, but will is son agree to his plans? Or will he become something else…? An exorcist?

New Upcoming anime "Freezing" Trailers

Summary: Set in a slightly futuristic world where Earth has been invaded and is at war with aliens from another dimension called the Nova, the story follows the adventures of a Japanese boy named Kazuya Aoi who enrolls for training at a special school for genetically modified girls called Pandoras who battle the aliens, and their male partners, called Limiters, who use a special power called "freezing" to limit their opponent's mobility. The protagonist makes the acquaintance of an unusual older girl named Bridgette L. Satellizer who appears to be the most powerful Pandora in her class, but has not yet chosen a male partner to be her Limiter, and in spite of the warnings of all his friends, he decides to be her Limiter.

Japanese studios to provide english releases.

Because of the minority of anime releases, Japanese studios are starting to provide an English versions of their latest projects, usually in the form of SUBTITLES. But there might be some dubbed versions of some animes. Including English dubbed version is still rare, though.

Take Moon Anime Announced

This week’s new January issue of Monthly Comic Rex magazine officially announces the development of an anime based on Eri (Kannagi) Takenashi’s two volume Take Moon collection of parodies and homages of Type-Moon franchises including Tsukihime, Kagetsu Tohya, and Fate/stay night. Seiji Kishi (Angel Beats!, Seto no Hanayome) will direct.

“Air Gear” – Second OAD Announced

According to presepe, a second 「Air Gear」 OAD, entitled 「Kuro no Hane to Nemuri no Mori – Break on the Sky (Trick2)」, is slated to be released in March 17th, 2011. ---------- The OAD will cover the “Kogarasumaru vs the Former Sleeping Forest” (Part 1) chapters from the 24th and 25th volumes.

The first OAD, entitled 「Kuro no Hane to Nemuri no Mori – Break on the Sky」, is scheduled to be released November 17th — bundled with LE manga volume 30. It will cover the “Ikki vs. Ringo” face-off found in the 16th volume.

Sad news: Pokemon Writer/Creator Passes Away.

Legend of the Galactic Heroes producer Masatoshi Tahara and translator Dan Kanemitsu report that Minky Momo creator and Pokémon writer Takeshi Shudo passed away. He was 61 years old. Shudo had been rushed to the hospital for emergency surgery after he collapsed at the Nara railway station's smoking area in Nara City on Thursday. The hospital's emergency care center determined that he had suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage in his head.
